Purchasing A New Motor Vehicle - Some-Thing That's Rough To Do As A Mother Or Father Parenting is a difficult & demanding job. It's also a job that you can't retire from. Even when your kids are grown, living on their own and making an income, you still feel a sense of accountability & a need to give advice. We have found that our kids are once again interested in our input. For a few years anything that we said held little to no value to our children but now that they have completed college and are taking on more responsibility for them-selves they are eager for advice - you can give them good advice on a myriad of economic topics, like how to get rid of debt. He is making a good income and he has scrimped and saved his whole life, so he wants to buy a new vehicle as a treat for the hard work he has done. He said that he knows that when he chooses to get married and to begin a family he may not be able to afford to buy a brand-new car so he wants to do it now. I told my spouse about the conversation I had with our son. My husband was distraught that our son would go in to debt for a new car. He thought there were alternative ways he could spend his cash. I told my husband that at the start I felt the same way, but then I recall the first & only new vehicle that I purchased. It was fun to know that I was driving a motor vehicle that no-one else had driven. Once we were married and started our family we could not afford a new car, we always bought program automobiles to get a better value and additional equipment. After listening to me my husband agreed that everybody should own at the least one new vehicle in their life time. A couple of weeks passed before our son drove up to our house in his new vehicle. He chose to purchase a brand-new vehicle that's a hybrid. He is getting great gas mileage and the car has a nice sporty look & feel to it. He said that the reports are favorable for the motor vehicle to hold its resale value, and there are enough of the hybrid cars on the road so most of the bugs have been worked through.
