We pinned a number of rattles and other baby toys to the blanket using diaper pins. We then displayed the little ensembles that my sister had bought. We finished the baby shower party decorations for the presents table by placing a big stuffed bear into the bassinet. It's so much fun to decorating for a baby shower! For the buffet table we had an array of fresh flowers from the community florist. She used silky pink carnations, baby's breathe and daisies for the arrangement. We determined that no other baby shower decorations needed to be placed on this table. We did have pink napkins that we set on this table, together with a cake that was decorated with a stork holding a little doll in a pink frosting blanket. We had also gotten a corsage for our niece and one for every of the new grandmothers to be. We felt that the room looked very nice and we wouldn't have to spend a whole lot of time cleaning up baby shower decorations due to the fact that they would all be sent home as presents to our niece. We had a great turn out for the baby shower party. My niece received several very nice gifts. She was glad that we had the shower in a space that was not small. As she progresses with the maternity she is feeling more claustrophobic. Within 30 minutes after the baby shower party was over the fellowship area was cleaned up and we were on our way home.
